So you went the involvement fair last week, and all that did was make you super overwhelmed. You wrote down your email countless times, and have more flyers than you could ever feasibly keep track of. You want to join a great student organization, but the thousands of options are making it crazy confusing. And with applications to the Ohio Union Activities Board due this Friday, September 5th, you may be wondering why YOU would be a good fit for the board, and what you can gain from being a part of it. Here is our list of the 10 Best Reasons to Join OUAB.

1.) Provide Extraordinary Student Experiences

OUAB is all about making the Ohio State student experience special and one of a kind. So if you love your school, if you love the programs it provides its students, and if you think this place is like no other, why not give back, and make sure years of students to follow feel the same way?

2.) Make Connections

Each member or OUAB comes from a different background, and represents a diverse list of majors, hobbies, and career paths. Whatever your interests may be, you are sure to find someone who shares them, and can help you with your homework or network for a new job. Plus, along the way, you are likely to meet professionals in various departments in the Union, production companies, and maybe even agencies.

3.) Make OUABesties

We are always trying to come up with fresh ideas, and out-of-the-box events that will shock and thrill campus are highly encouraged. So get those brain juices moving and flex those creative muscles, whether you handling logistics, marketing, hospitality… or any position really!

8.) Take the Lead
