The Stages of Game Day at The Ohio State University

You wake up to the ringing of your alarm at 7AM and realize… it’s Game Day.

You’re “getting ready” soundtrack is courtesy of neighbors next door who are blasting some early 2000’s pop music and throwing footballs at anyone who passes their porch.

When you’re finally ready to go, you realize you have to walk past your neighbors who are throwing the footballs.

At your tailgate, your goal is to get your hands on as much free food as you can since free food is the main reason for getting up so early, right?

When it’s time to head over to The Shoe, all you’re really thinking about is the nap that you get to take afterwards.

Each week when the Buckeyes run out onto the field, you just get all the feels knowing you go to the greatest school in the country.

And during the game, you cheer on your Buckeyes to a win.

And you find even more entertainment in seeing the looks of the opposing fans’ faces.

When you look at that last picture, you take pride in the fact that you are not a fan of that team up north

Singing Carmen at the end of the game with Urban is the one reason why you stay even if the score is a blowout.

You finally make it home and the nap you’ve been looking forward to all morning is everything.

And when you wake up, it dawns on you: IT’S STILL GAMEDAY.
